Davida Haas-Oglesbee

A happy and competent teacher makes joyful and fabulous dancers!

My Approach

Positivity and laughter

No matter the students age or level, I believe positive and constructive feedback lays the groundwork for a love of dance. Adding a few giggles in here and there makes the road to becoming a confident dancer more enjoyable.

Mentoring

Without guidance and discipline, a dancer will not thrive or progress forward in their dance journey. My philosophy is that a clear, consistent message and nurtured mentoring will make dancers better than they ever imagined.

“Davida brings a lifetime of intense focus, high level training and great expertise to her teaching.  Her expansive career has included roles at every level, most impressively as a dancer with Oregon Ballet Theater and The Joffrey Ballet.  Her teaching is kind, informed and rigorous in all the right ways, lucky is the student who encounters her.”

Alexandrous Ballard, former Ballet Master at The Alberta Ballet

“Davida brings such a joy and an attention to detail for her students.”

Katarina Svetlova, Director of Oregon Ballet Theater School

“Ms. Davida is the kind of teacher who is there because she wants to be there, she wants to help you get better. Even if you make a mistake, she will work with you until you fix it. I’ve loved working with Ms. Davida and I feel much more confident in myself as a dancer from dancing under her watchful eye.”
